You never mentioned what you really use it for. What do you do with that
thing?
Same thing everyone uses a spatula for in the kitchen, silly. :-)
Cindy Hamilton mentioned a few - as it's a fantastic tool for what it does.
I make my own mayonnaise out of a cup of light olive oil, juice of a lemon,
some salt, a whole egg (I'm too lazy to separate the white from the yolk)
and a tad of mustard powder and then I hand blend it into real mayonnaise.
But then you need to scoop the emulsion out of the tupperware container.
Why waste fresh homemade mayonnaise leaving it in the jar to wash off?
Let's say I'm making spinach soup, which is a 1/4 pound of butter, boiled
white potatoes and a cup and a half of spinach blended together - and then
cooked corn kernels sprinkled in with a few select spices & heated on the
stovetop in a large pot to eat (but you always make more, for later).
After you eat, it's time to clean up where there's still two or three meals
left in the pot, which you duly pour into Rubbermaid tupperware containers.
(By the way, if you know where I can get them inexpensive, let me know as
they're now $18 each at Costco, which is highway robber if you ask me.)
After you pour the thick molasses-like spinach soup out into tupperware
containers, you leave at least a half of a cup (or more) in the pot.
These spatulas are perfect for scraping it out of the pot, which is good
for the environment, good for your septic system, and good for the belly.
Note that the little two-inch-long one-inch-wide spatulas are worthless.
They're like using the wrong sized screwdriver to do the job wrong.
Putting in a way for the men to understand, it's like using a #2 Phillips
screwdriver when you need a number #3. It will eventually work.
But it's not as efficient or pleasant to use as the right tool for the job.

Now I have to find new tupperware. I'll post a separate thread on that
as I need to take some photos of why Rubbermaid is the best brand for me.
